Two men standing in front of a blue door outside a building. The man on the left is wearing glasses, a black beanie, a white t-shirt, and a striped apron, and has his hands behind his back. The man on the right is wearing a dark green long-sleeve shirt and black pants, with his hand in his pocket.

It was all

a dream.

PaperBoy was founded by Kamal and Yon, two friends whose working relationship grew naturally out of hospitality, curiosity, and a shared love for quality food. What began as conversations about ingredients and technique quickly turned into a deeper pursuit: creating something honest, memorable, and rooted in craft.

Authenticity, tradition, carefully sourced ingredients, hospitality, and the ability to create lasting memories are the core values that guide everything we do. We hand-slice meats to order. We prepare our fillings in small, intentional batches. We build each sandwich with the discipline of a kitchen that respects craft and the casual ease of a neighborhood shop that respects people.

PaperBoy is inspired by the energy of the streets: fast-moving, approachable, and human. But at its heart, it remains grounded in the traditions that shaped it. Today it’s one shop. Tomorrow, more. The vision is growth, but the promise stays the same:

Start with good bread, treat it with respect, and deliver something worth coming back for.
